The "nodding onion". Each flower stem holds many umbels in light pink to lavender shades, 40cm.
Spreading easily through bulb production and by seed, A. cernuum is edible and can be used as a replacement for chives or spring onions.
It prefers a sunny position and will thrive in most soils.
As a perennial that makes only quite slender bulbs, we supply A. cernuum as a growing plant in small pots.
Members of the onion family, most alliums prefer a warm sunny position with good drainage.
